Toptracker reviews3/18/2023 ![]() ![]() I guess I'll have to save for another computer and then fix the old one. I asked for a solution, like Avery's comment (Thank you BTW I have sent a ticket through the app). No, there are other options and if the client is fine with you doing other things while tracking time on his job you might as well take on another job. Not everyone can afford 2 computers and it's not fair to be bored just cause you only have one PC and there's nothing to do on the job. Have you considered a hobby that does not involve sitting in front of a monitor all the time? There's no reason why when, for example, you're working in a call center job and there's nothing to do you have to be bored to death. Like I said, I've always had 2 screens and 2 computers. When I work on an hourly job I do only that, no checking messages, B wrote: When working on an hourly project there is no reason why the client should not see the same as the freelancer. The app should take screenshots of the full screen. I only have one screen at the moment but with two screens I could track time on one contract on monitor A while working on a fixed priced job on monitor B if I could tell the app to only take screenshots from monitor A. But perhaps I've misunderstood something. I don't really know, but isn't that the way it's supposed to be? Doesn't clicking in an application always activate that application (and therefore the monitor the application is running on)? And it seems right that the client should see the monitor you're clicking on (if a snapshot happens at that time). takes screenshot to the where the mouse is active on. The application is active on the Monitor 1 supposedly but no. Sometimes I realize later and may even attempt to back up and try again, but others I never register that I only saw the first half unless someone mentions a specific event and I say I don't remember it, and then my daughter will often tell me that it's because I went to wash the dishes during that part and didn't come W B wrote: If I try to watch a show or movie at home, more often than not I forget that I'm watching it and wander away in the middle. I just can't pay attention to television. On a side note, the idea of TV as an attention whatever made me laugh. One of my former colleagues leaves a television show she's already watched playing in the background while she's doing some pretty high end work without it, every little noise, movement of her cat, etc. ![]() I prefer quiet to work, but I have friends who can't work without some type of background noise (this seems to be common among people with ADD/ADHD, in particular, but I'm sure it's not limited to that sector). Whatever you do, I wonder how productive you can be if the TV is running on the other screen. That doesn't exactly constitute "time used for activities unrelated to the project." We’re DMCA-compliant and gladly to work with you.Nina, I'm not sure what your field is, but it is not at all uncommon for a freelancer to have music or television playing in the background while working.
